Tulvera Diatomite Dish Drying Mat, 15.7 x 11.8 in, Grey Engraved Wave

The wave pattern is engraved into the stone rather than printed over it. At 15.7 by 11.8 inches and 0.4 inch thick, the slab is cut for a small worktop or a flat.

Porous stone takes moisture off dishes within seconds and lets air move around them, which suits a compact drainer where water would otherwise gather.

Cleaning is a rinse and a wipe over using a cloth or sponge. Stubborn marks call for the supplied sanding sheet, worked gently across the face. Coffee, sauces and red wine are the usual offenders and are best kept clear.

A faint earthen scent on unwrapping is characteristic of pure diatomaceous earth and fades in time.

The stone resists heat, so a kettle or a hot pan can rest on it, and elsewhere it works beneath pet bowls or a potted plant. Boxed with an instruction sheet, a non-slip pad and the sanding tool. Quoted weight 3 pounds, colour grey.
