A single steel bar that carries a kitchen roll under a cabinet, on a wall, or inside a van. Both ends are turned up so the roll cannot slide off, and the hardware for either mounting method comes in the box.
- Two ways to fix it. Peel-and-stick pads suit tile or a smooth cabinet underside; the screws and plugs are there for plaster or timber where a bond would not hold.
- Steel with a baked black coat. The metal underneath is stainless, which is what keeps a damp kitchen or bathroom from rusting the bar.
- Span: 13 in end to end, 3.9 in from the wall, enough clearance for a standard kitchen roll to turn freely.
- Light fitting. At roughly 0.33 kg the bar itself adds almost nothing to what an adhesive pad has to carry.
- If you use the adhesive, let it cure. Press it onto a clean, dry, non-porous surface and leave it unloaded overnight; a pad hung the same hour is the usual reason one drops.
Two things the listing gets muddled. The name offers the same bar as both a kitchen towel rack and a toilet roll holder. At 13 in it is sized for kitchen rolls, and a loo roll would simply slide about. One bullet also claims the finish cannot come off, while another describes a baked-on paint layer; painted steel does chip, so treat it as a coated surface rather than a bare one.
