Three solid rubberwood crates — one large, two smaller — built to stack into a tower on a worktop or pantry floor. Vents are cut through each flank and rear panel, letting air move over potatoes, onions, shallots and citrus so they sit dry rather than sweating inside a sealed box. A chestnut-toned finish keeps the grain visible.
- Sawn timber, not board: rubberwood panels give real thickness and hold their shape under a full load of roots.
- Airflow slots across three faces reduce trapped moisture around stored produce.
- Cut-away front: reach into a lower crate without breaking down the tower above it.
- Hand holds moulded into each flank for shifting a loaded crate.
- No build required — the crates arrive assembled.
Two supplier figures need reading carefully. A single dimension of 14 x 12.1 x 9.5 in is quoted although the set holds three crates in two sizes, so it can only describe one of them, most likely the largest. The mass of 5.07 lb is too light for three solid-timber crates and reads as a per-crate or partial figure.
Wood needs dry handling: wipe with a barely damp cloth, dry immediately, and keep the crates clear of sinks, dishwashers and standing water. Wash produce after taking it out, never inside a crate.
