The cup works the way an octopus does — press it flat, the air leaves, and it holds. Moulded in water-resistant TPE, it bears 11 lb.

Fitting is a single push. Nothing is screwed, nailed or glued, and lifting it off later leaves the wall as it was, which is the point in a rented kitchen.

The surface matters more than the weight. Metal, glass, tile, steel and acrylic all hold if wiped clean and dry first; textured tile, unsealed marble, wallpaper and painted plaster do not.

Aluminium under a rustproof coat keeps its shape in a permanently damp spot. The sides are left open so air passes round a sponge and the drips fall clear.

At 5.1" x 2.3" x 3.1" it takes a sponge, a scrubber, a scouring pad and a drain plug, and it weighs 0.15 kg.
