Every disc is rated to carry 12.5 pounds, so four of them take 50 pounds and eight take 100 — the maker's own arithmetic for deciding how many to put under a mixer, a bean-to-cup machine or an air fryer.

The discs measure 1 inch (25 mm) across and 3/16 inch (5 mm) deep. That shallow lift does two jobs: it holds an appliance base clear of spilt liquid and lets air move underneath, while a cushioned layer takes some of the buzz out of a running motor sitting on a hard worktop.

Fitting means cleaning the underside of the machine, lifting the backing paper and pressing each glide into place. The adhesive bonds to the appliance rather than to the counter, so that underside has to be clean, dry and flat for the bond to hold. Once stuck, the low-friction bases let you push, pull or spin an appliance across the surface instead of lifting it.
