Rnivvi Coffee Bar Mat, 12 by 19 Inch Absorbent Counter Pad with Rubber Backing in Vanilla Purple

A pad of 12" by 19" sized to sit beneath an espresso machine, grinder or kettle and take the drips that would otherwise mark a worktop. It runs about 0.16" thick, with a soft napped face over a rubber underside that grips instead of creeping when a heavy machine gets pushed back into place.

The face draws in spills and gives them up again as it air-dries, which fits it for a second job as a draining pad under washed glasses, mugs and cutlery.

Rnivvi records the material as polyester with a foam fill, while the copy calls the surface suede. A napped finish on polyester is the reading that satisfies both entries. Cleaning is described as washing by hand or by machine; nothing is said about tumble drying, and the rubber layer is the part to treat gently.

Several catalogue fields are wrong. Shape is entered as square for what is plainly a 12 by 19 rectangle, and the colour reads "A-Vanilla Purple", where the leading A- is a variant code rather than part of any colour name. The copy calls the pad heat-proof yet publishes no temperature rating, so it should not be treated as a trivet for pans straight off the hob.
