SunnyPoint Black Aluminum Sink Caddy, 6 Inch Sponge and Scrubber Basket with Adhesive and Suction Mounts

A slim aluminum basket for the sink rim, finished black, holding a sponge, a scourer, a bar of soap or the drain plug. Six inches wide, 2.5 deep and 2.65 tall, weighing barely three ounces.

• Two fixing methods ship together: one adhesive pad and a pair of suction cups. The maker treats the pad as the main fixing, with the cups useful where you want to move the basket around.
• Suction has limits. Cups grab smooth, non-porous faces such as glass, polished tile, stainless. Granite, composite stone, cement or any textured finish will shed them, and the pad is what you need there.
• The maker rates it to 1.5 pounds. That covers a sponge and a scrubber, not a stack of wet cloths.
• Aluminum does not rust, so a permanently damp station beside the faucet will not degrade it.
• Beyond the kitchen it suits a bathroom basin, a utility sink or a workshop wash-up point.
• If a cup will not hold, wash grease off both faces, warm the rubber in hot water for a minute or two, then press firmly to expel trapped air.
