Homerays 12 in Bamboo Lazy Susan, 9 in Swivel Base, Non-Skid Turntable

The swivel plate underneath measures 9 inches across beneath a 12 inch top, and that ratio is the whole argument. A broad bearing keeps the tray turning evenly when the weight all sits on one side of it.

Corner cupboards, and deep units at floor level, are where a turntable earns itself: whatever sat at the back comes round with a push instead of being excavated.

Bamboo throughout, weighing 485 g, renewable and easy enough to keep clean.

On a table it holds oil, vinegar, salt and a pepper mill within reach of everyone sitting round it, which saves passing things across plates.

Homerays quotes a maximum load of 300 lb for the bearing.

A bathroom worktop or a dressing table suits it as readily as a kitchen shelf.
