snuggery Diatomite Dish Drying Mat, 24 x 16in, Dark Grey, Non-Slip Base Pad Included

A single unbroken piece of diatomaceous earth, 24" long by 16" wide, takes up moisture evenly across its whole face, so a plate set down at one end drains no differently from one at the other and water has nowhere to pool.

Under it goes a separate anti-slip pad. That layer plus the mat's own 2.4kg is what holds the position on a polished worktop, since the stone alone offers little grip.

Sandpaper comes in the box for reviving the surface. The material fields list diatomite and paper together, the paper being that abrasive sheet rather than any part of the mat itself.

It needs a flat, level run of worktop measuring at least 24" by 16". No thickness or load figure is published. Beyond crockery, the listing points to plant pots, pet bowls and the area around a bathroom basin.
