Linidcoud Diatomite Dish Drying Mat, 24 x 16 in and 8 x 4 in, Dark Grey

Diatomaceous earth pulls water out of whatever is set on it and gives it back to the air — around thirty seconds for a wet plate, with no cloth involved.

At 24" x 16" the large mat is bigger than most drying racks, so a rack can stand on it rather than beside it. A small 8" x 4" mat comes too, for a soap dish or a single mug.

Diatomite with PVC, tested for contact with food, and it folds flat for storing.

Two things to expect. A faint mineral smell on unpacking, from being sealed in transit, and some lightening of the colour once it dries out. Neither is a fault. Sandpaper is included for refreshing the surface.

A grey base with darker marbling. It serves equally as a heat mat beneath a hot pan, as bathroom flooring, or under a plant pot.

A non-slip pad and 300-grit sandpaper come with it. The set weighs 2.42 kg.
