VeriGoods Folding Diatomite Drying Mat, Two Stone Panels 12 x 16 Inches, 24 x 16 Combined, Dark Grey

Five stone tiles ride on a bendable backing strip, and that construction is what lets a rigid diatomite surface fold flat at all. Folded, it slides into a drawer; opened out, the two panels give either a pair of 12 by 16 inch mats or one 24 by 16 inch run along the sink.

Diatomaceous earth pulls water in on contact, and the maker puts full drying at around 60 seconds. There is no fabric to stay damp, and the smooth face wipes down in moments. A sanding disc comes in the box for refreshing the surface once it starts to glaze over, along with printed care notes.

A non-slip pad is described in the feature text as keeping the mat steady on granite, quartz, tile or wood, but it does not appear in the parts list, which records only one mat, one sheet of sandpaper and one set of instructions. That same list is also at odds with the two-panel set described everywhere else.

Measured dimensions disagree too: the attribute table reads 11.82 by 15.35 inches, against the 12 by 16 inches quoted in the description. Treat the smaller pair as the real footprint when planning a tight space. Set weight is 2.29 kg.
