Lubeau Sink Caddy with Diatomaceous Earth Drying Pads, Three Compartments, 8.66 inch Wide, Black

In place of a drip tray this caddy uses a pad of diatomaceous earth, a porous stone that takes up the water running off a sponge; the maker puts full drying at around sixty seconds. A second pad goes under the detachable brush holder. That holder either hangs off the side of the frame or sits by itself on the worktop.

Three zones are set out. The brush holder takes tall utensils, a bottle zone is sized for one or two soap or cleaner dispensers, and a smaller space handles sponges and sink plugs. A towel rail, also removable, is included for a dishcloth. The frame is corrosion-resistant stainless steel standing on four silicone grip pads, and assembly amounts to dropping the pad and rail into position.

Pad care is rinsing and air drying only, with mild detergent or fine sandpaper for stubborn marks, and the stone must be kept dry between uses. Two adhesive hooks are supplied for wall mounting and carry a rating of 11.02 lb, or 5 kg; that figure belongs to the hooks rather than to the basket itself.
