GHWIE Bamboo In-Drawer Knife Block, 11-Knife Dock, 15.6 x 4.5 x 1.6 Inches

Sold as the eleven-knife dock, and here the written description happens to agree, quoting eleven blades of assorted sizes — steak, utility, bread, santoku and paring. The same paragraph is repeated against the seven and fifteen dock versions, however, so the match may be coincidence rather than a specification.

The block measures 15.6 inches deep, 4.5 inches wide and 1.6 inches high. GHWIE quote those identical figures for every dock size, which sits awkwardly with the varying slot counts. In practice it is a slim bamboo strip along one side of a drawer, each blade held apart in its own slot so edges are protected from one another.

Natural bamboo, listed at 2.5 lb. The capacity field on this listing reads "7 Pounds", a weight in a slot meant for a count, so it carries no useful meaning. Knives are bought separately. Measure the clear internal height of the drawer before ordering — 1.6 inches is the block alone. Hand-clean with mild soap, dry straight away, and oil the surface from time to time; never put it through a dishwasher.
