VaeFae Bamboo In-Drawer Knife Block, 16 Slots plus Sharpener Channel, 17 x 11.4 x 1.75 Inches

The drawer has to exceed 18 inches deep, 12.5 inches wide and 3 inches high on the inside. VaeFae are specific about that, and with the insert itself running 17 inches deep by 11.4 inches wide by 1.75 inches tall, there is not much slack left over.

Sixteen slots divide into two banks: eight sized for steak knives of around 10 inches and eight for blades reaching about 16 inches, with a further channel set aside for a sharpener. Once seated, a knife stays where it was put rather than sliding backwards and jamming the drawer as it opens.

Moso bamboo in a natural finish, listed at 2.25 kg. Neither knives nor a sharpener come with it, and no maintenance beyond drying is called for. Wipe it out after use and keep it dry; bamboo of this sort is hand-clean only and will not survive a dishwasher.
