Bambüsi Bamboo In-Drawer Knife Block, Blade-Down Slots, 17 x 5.3 x 2.12 Inches

Blades sit pointing downward in this block, so nothing sharp faces up when a hand goes into the drawer and the cutting edges are not grinding against one another. The body runs 17 inches front to back on a width of just 5.3 inches, standing 2.12 inches tall.

Capacity is stated inconsistently and the difference is large. The product name describes five long knives and six short ones, eleven altogether, and the attribute table agrees with that count; the written description instead claims sixteen slots. Nothing in the listing settles the discrepancy, so the lower figure is the safer one to plan around.

Natural bamboo, smooth enough not to score an edge, weighing 2.5 lb. Knives are not part of the purchase. Measure the clear height of your drawer first — 2.12 inches is the block by itself, before the handles standing above it. Wipe it down by hand and keep it dry; bamboo cannot go through a dishwasher.
