Acacia rather than bamboo, and taller than most blocks of this type at 3.5 inches. That height sets the constraint: the drawer needs more than 3.6 inches of clear space inside or it will not close. The footprint runs 15.9 inches deep by roughly 8.4 inches across, though Acacomft print 8.3 in one place and 8.4 in another.

Twelve slots sit alongside a channel for a sharpening rod, and they are cut wider than usual so steak knives, a chef's knife and a bread knife all drop in together. Blades must measure no more than 9.8 inches long and 1.77 inches across, which rules out a butcher's knife. Underneath, a non-slip layer means the block can equally be left out on a worktop without wandering about.

Nothing needs assembling. Acacia varies in tone between pieces, so the colour will not match a photograph exactly. Listed weight is 5.1 lb, and neither knives nor the rod are supplied. Hand-wash and dry only — acacia is a hardwood and a dishwasher will split it.
