HABITAAS Spun Bamboo Fruit Bowl, 11.75 inch Round Basket in White

The rim spans 11.75 inches and the sides rise 3 inches, so a load of eight to ten apples or oranges sits in one layer rather than stacking. Empty weight is about 1 lb 6 oz, light enough to lift aside with one hand while the counter is wiped.

Every bowl is spun from bamboo by hand, following a Vietnamese craft tradition the maker traces back roughly 800 years, which leaves each one with its own grain. Lacquer seals the inner face against damp; the outer face is painted a flat white.

Bamboo regrows quickly on little water and without pesticides, the reason the maker offers it in place of moulded plastic produce holders. It ships ready to use and needs no tools. Cleaning is by damp cloth alone. The listing also records a 170 ml capacity and a spoon among the parts, neither of which fits a bowl of this size.
