Stainless steel underneath the silicone, which the maker rates to 450°F, hot enough to double as a trivet for a pan straight off the hob. Dishes, washed vegetables and cooling biscuits all sit on it equally well, and the ends can be unclipped to hook over a tap instead.

The rack spans the sink from edge to edge, so your sink opening must measure at least 12.6" across for the bars to bridge it.
