HotLive Absorbent Dish Drying Mat, 16 by 18 Inch Dark Grey with Rubber Backing

Two layers do the work here: an absorbent face on top, and a rubber underside that grips the worktop while stopping spills from reaching the surface beneath.

Five sizes exist across the range, 16x18, 16x20, 18x24, 18x28 and 18x32 inches. This one is the 16 by 18 in dark grey, and HotLive note that their photography shows the 18 by 24 instead.

Rolled up, it fits a drawer. Rinsing beneath a tap cleans it, after which it can lie flat or hang until dry.

Two parts of the source disagree on material: the bullets describe an absorbent microfibre nanomaterial, while the attribute list records rubber with a polyurethane fill. Both are given here without preference.

Thickness is enough to cushion glassware, the mat is heat resistant, and the darker shade hides staining. Weight comes to 0.71 lb.
