Copco Non-Skid Turntable, 12 in Plastic Lazy Susan in White and Grey

The load ceiling is 5 pounds. That is the figure that decides whether this turntable suits your shelf: a row of spice jars sits well within it, a cluster of tinned goods does not.

A non-skid liner is built into the surface, so bottles and jars stay put as the disc comes round rather than sliding towards the outside.

The raised edge does the rest of the work, catching anything that does shift before it can drop off.

Twelve inches across, in white and grey plastic, weighing 0.9 pounds. Rotation is a full circle and takes little effort.

Cabinets and pantry shelves are the obvious homes, though a fridge shelf, a bathroom counter or a laundry cupboard would take it equally well.
