YBM HOME Bamboo Lazy Susan, 14 in Turntable with Raised Rim

A raised lip runs the full circumference, and that is the detail that matters on a spinning surface — jars and bottles meet the rim instead of walking off the edge as the disc comes round.

The turntable measures 14 inches across and just 1 inch high, so it swallows very little shelf height while bringing the whole of a deep cabinet within reach.

Rotation is a full circle on a smooth wheel, which means anything pushed to the rear can be brought forward without unpacking what stands in front of it.

Moso bamboo forms the disc, finished naturally. Listed weight is 16 ounces.

The attribute block records a 356 pound maximum load. For a one-inch bamboo disc that figure looks improbable; it is the maker's own number and no independent check has been made.

Spices, oils and condiments are the obvious load, though the same turntable does equally well on a dining table or holding medicines in a bathroom cupboard.
