HBlife Bamboo Plate and Lid Rack, 5 Slots, Stepped Slope Design

The slots climb stepwise rather than sitting level, so each plate or lid is held slightly higher than its neighbour and a sliver of every item remains visible from the front.

One rack ships per order. Five parts make it up — two long rails and three connecting pegs — and assembly is a matter of pressing the pegs home. The holes are cut fractionally undersize on purpose, which is what draws the joint tight.

Plates, bowls, cups, chopping boards and pan lids all sit in the slots. Set beside a desk instead, the same rack serves for files or books.

Recorded dimensions are 11.8 inches deep, 4.5 wide and 7.4 high, at 0.29 kilograms. The bamboo is surface treated against cracking and warping.

Strong cleaning agents will strip its protective coating. The maker suggests an occasional soak in lightly salted water followed by a full dry, and warns against leaving the rack in prolonged sunlight.
