Innoez Bamboo Lockable Knife Storage Box, Extra Large, 17.2 x 8.7 x 3.22 in, Two Keys

The lock is the whole point. Its lid closes on a key lock and two keys are supplied, which puts sharp blades — or medicines, or needles — behind something a small child cannot open.

Interior length runs up to 16 inches, so even a bread knife lies flat. Four knife blocks sit inside; they slide about and lift out, so the layout suits different blade shapes.

Hinges stop at 95 degrees and hold the lid upright, leaving both hands free while you reach inside. It opens one-handed whether it sits on the worktop or inside a drawer.

Innoez says a loaded box was dropped three feet from a table onto hard flooring: corners may deform and the hinge may take damage, but the blades stayed shut inside. That is the maker's own test rather than an independent one.

Half-inch Luong bamboo, joined by mortise and tenon without nails, made in Vietnam. Weight 3.86 lb.

The attribute block lists stainless steel as a blade material, which is left over from a knife listing. No knives come with this box.
