Curved grooves are cut into the divider tops, so a fork or a knife can be hooked out with one finger instead of being dug for.

Five slots across a footprint of 14 inches by 11, with walls 2.4 inches high. Umilife quotes 2.5 inches in one bullet and 2.4 in the attribute table; either way it is deeper than the 2-inch trays it sits beside, which the maker reckons at around a fifth more capacity.

Mortise-and-tenon joints hold the box square, and the base panel is bamboo too rather than thin fibreboard. Dividers are rigid enough that a blade cannot slip beneath one.

Four large silicone feet sit under the tray. They stop it travelling as the drawer moves, and they cut the rattle.

Not for the dishwasher. Use mild cleaner on a barely wet cloth, then dry it off.

Measure the drawer first. At 11 inches wide this suits a mid-sized drawer, not a narrow one.
