Domax Bamboo In-Drawer Knife Block in Walnut, Room for 16 Knives and a Steel

Walnut colouring is what separates this one from the black version; the slot layout beneath is unchanged. Eight recesses take blades of roughly 9 inches, eight more take blades of roughly 15 inches, and a centre groove holds a sharpening steel.

Fits only drawers whose inner box clears 16" deep by 11.5" wide by 2" high. The insert occupies 15.8 x 11.2 x 1.9 inches.

Slots are cut wide at the mouth so fingers can get under a handle, and each blade is gripped where it sits. Nothing slides toward the back when the drawer is pushed shut.

Material is moso bamboo, sealed against water, with edges rounded off. A wrung cloth over it is the whole cleaning routine.

It weighs 2.22 kg, a shade lighter than the black edition. Knives and steel are no part of this package.
