Tomorotec Expandable Over-Sink Rack, 12 to 21.65 in, 3 Steel Bars, Marble

Three 304 steel rods on a telescopic frame that widens from 12 inches to 21.65 inches, spanning a sink so cloths, brushes and bottles drip into the bowl instead of onto the worktop.

Tomorotec rates the bars to 16.5 pounds, a figure it puts at around six times what rival racks manage. Heat tolerance is quoted to 428°F, and the frame can go through a dishwasher.

Both faces work. One way up the surface is flat; turned over, a wavy profile takes chopping boards, bottles, ladles and plates on edge. Set two in parallel and they act as a stand for a hot baking tray.

The end pieces are pure silicone, with no BPA or PVC content, and lift off for cleaning. Colour is listed as marble.

Closed up, it is 3.94 inches deep and three quarters of an inch high, weighing 0.38 pounds. Check the span of your sink against that 12 to 21.65 inch range first.
