The block supplied with these knives lies flat in a drawer rather than standing on the worktop, and its skeletonised bamboo frame is open enough for blades to dry between uses.

Six pieces in total: the block plus five blades running 3.5 to 8 inches, an 8" chef's knife, an 8" bread knife, an 8" santoku, a 5" utility knife and a 3.5" paring knife. Steel is 5Cr15MoV with a stated carbon content of 0.5 per cent; handles are ABS, riveted three times through a full-length tang.

The bamboo block must not go in a dishwasher; wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry. Wash the knives by hand and dry them straight away, since high carbon steel will rust if left wet. Set weight is given as 1.54 kg.
