Joeyan 45 oz Amber Glass Jar, Embossed Grid Pattern, Sealed Glass Lid

An embossed grid runs across the whole body and the lid finial is moulded as a sunflower, so this is a jar built to stand out on a counter rather than hide in a cupboard.

The lid is glass, neither plastic nor wood, with a rubber ring beneath it that closes the jar against damp. Coffee beans, oats, dried fruit and flour keep longer for it.

Capacity runs to 45 fl oz in a body 4.13 inches square and 9.25 inches tall. Empty weight is 0.84 kg, and the maker also quotes 2.8 lb as a fill figure.

The mouth is wide enough to put a hand through, which counts when cleaning a jar that has held something oily.

That textured outer surface gives grip when your hands are wet.

Colour is named twice over: amber in the product title, Sunflower in the specification block. Either way the glass is tinted rather than clear.
