keenkee 5mm Metal Shelf Support Pegs with Silicone Pads, Nickel, 20 Pack

Everything depends on the boring. These pins are 5mm — one fifth of an inch — and seat only in cabinet holes of that diameter, so check yours against an existing peg before ordering.

Each peg carries a small silicone pad on its bearing face. The pad stops a shelf sliding and stops it being scratched, and it lifts away if you would rather do without.

Glass shelving is fine on them, precisely because of that cushion; bare metal against glass slips.

Once seated, a pin can be tightened so it will not drop out when the shelf is lifted clear.

Twenty come in the pack, in a nickel finish with white pads — a combination that recedes against most cabinet interiors and against glass.

The set weighs 2.39 ounces.
