Folinstall 1-Gallon Glass Jars, Set of 2, 5.7 in Mouth with Measure Marks

The mouth is 5.7 in across, which is the number that matters on a biscuit jar: a whole hand goes in and comes back out holding something, and a brush reaches every part of the inside at washing-up time.

Graduations are moulded into the glass in both ounces and millilitres, so flour or sugar can be measured in the jar rather than in a separate cup.

Two size accounts appear on the listing. The jar itself is given as 9.8 in tall by 6.5 in wide, while the specification block quotes 14.9 x 10.7 x 7.5 in — the latter reads more like the packed carton than the jar.

A silicone seal in the lid makes the closure airtight. Folinstall sells the set for biscuits and sweets, though flour, coffee and dog treats appear on its own list too.

Gallon jars this size are heavy once filled, so a worktop or a low shelf suits them better than a top cupboard.

Clear glass, round, and 4.38 kg for the two.
