BIRDROCK HOME 18-Inch Wooden Lazy Susan, Espresso with Iron Edging

Iron banding wraps the rim of the wooden disc — the visible difference from a plain timber turntable, and the part that takes daily knocks.

Underneath sits a ball-bearing race, so the tray turns without the judder that tips a tall bottle.

Hand wash only. The maker states that as the way to keep the finish, and notes that grain and colour differ tray to tray because the timber is natural.

The figures want reading with care: the specification quotes an item weight of 3.6 kg (7.93 lb), and separately lists 7.9 lb as a maximum load recommendation — near enough the same number in both roles.

Eighteen inches gives room for a row of spice jars with space to spare, or a set of oils and vinegars at the centre of a dining table. Espresso brown suits older kitchens and plainer modern ones alike.
