CHEF OLÉ WWW.CHEFOLE.COM 14 in Acacia Paper Towel Holder, Weighted Base

Tearing a sheet one-handed is where most stands fail, because they tip. This one answers with mass underneath: 0.8 inches of solid acacia across a 6.7 inch footprint, so the post stays put as the sheet comes away.

Height is 14 inches, which suits most standard rolls.

Two pieces, a single step to join them, and the maker reckons on about fifteen seconds.

Solid acacia throughout, described by the maker as a double-stick design that steadies the roll waiting to go on next.

Swapping a roll involves no dismantling. The replacement goes straight on, with nothing to unscrew.

The listed weight of 0.5 pounds sits oddly against a base described as heavy; take it as the figure supplied rather than a measured one.

• 14 in tall x 6.7 in base
• Base 0.8 in thick
• Solid acacia wood
• Two-piece, one-step assembly
• Fits most standard rolls
• Maker lists weight as 0.5 lb
